The Equinox Ski Challenge is a springtime celebration, a season finale and also among the most challenging ski races in the world.  This event is ingrained with camaraderie, challenge, and commitment to the well-being of the local community.  Skiers of ALL abilities are welcome.

The goal is to have a lot of fun and also complete as many laps as you can in the 24 Minute Kids Race, 3 Hour, 6 Hour, 12 Hour or 24 Hour divisions.  Skiers can enter as a relay team of up to 8 members or as a soloist.

For the fourth year in a row, the Equinox Ski Challenge will donate a portion of the proceeds to the West Yellowstone Ski Education Foundation and to Manaia Youth Programs, two non-profit organizations that are keeping Montana communities mentally and physically healthy.

The event includes a Saturday evening potluck with beverages and an all night bonfire at the start/finish line.

Join the fun on March 20th and 21st at the Rendezvous Ski Trails in West Yellowstone, Montana!

In celebration of Fred, Sara, Keenan, Barbara and Dan

NEW DATES FOR 2010!

Mass start: 10am 20th March 2010.
Potluck and BBQ: 6pm 20th March 2010.

2010 race proceeds above costs will be donated to the non-profit organizations West Yellowstone Ski Education Foundation (WYSEF) and Manaia Youth Programs.  WYSEF promotes Nordic skiing in the West Yellowstone region.  Manaia is a youth leadership and empowerment program serving Southwest Montana.

Find us at the Equinox Ski Challenge Blog for FAQs, gear suggestions, other activites in West Yellowstone, and more.

The warming hut at the start/finish line can be used by racers to wax skis, recharge headlamp batteries, use the restroom and get energized for another lap!  Check the "Race Info" page for multi-hour snooze spots.

Those wearing costumes at the start receive an extra raffle ticket and the best costume earns 4 extra tickets!

Volunteers are warmly welcomed - please see volunteer info!
